Mysuru: A security guard of a private firm, who was deployed at the Torchlight Parade Grounds in Bannimantap here, was found dead on the steps of the grounds this morning.
The deceased security guard has been identified as Shivakumar (42), a resident of Basaveshwara Road in Kesare. Morning walkers, who saw Shivakumar lying dead on one of the steps, informed N.R. Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem besides registering a case.
