Mysuru: Kaginele Mysuru Shakha Mutt Seer Shivanandapuri Swamiji recently launched Siddharamaiah post-matric girls hostel constructed at Vijayanagar 2nd stage in city.
Speaking on the occasion, the Swamiji said it was an unforgettable day as the fully-equipped hostel had become a reality.
Observing that this was one of the best equipped and safest hostel for girl students in the State, the Seer said the hostel was a boon to girl students from backward communities and rural areas.
Pointing out that the hostel had inmates from far off districts such as Vijayapura and Ballari, he thanked Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and donors for their co-operation in the construction of the hostel which was long due in the city.
Former ZP President K. Marigowda announced that he would donate an electric boiler to the hostel. He called upon the inmates for proper utilisation of the facilities and amenities and also to ensure that the system is maintained properly.
Retired official Chikkaswamy, advocates Shivanna and M. Mallaiah, Kaginele Educational Institutions Secretary Puttabasavegowda & District BCM Officer G.S. Somashekar were present.
