Mysore/Mysuru: Marking the 60th birthday of poet and novelist M.B. Santosh and International Women’s Day celebrations, the city-based Mysuru Sahitya Mattu Samskrutika Pratishtana has chosen the following achievers from different fields for various awards:
Balashri award: Diya Umesh, Samrudh Maski and Saurav Gaj; Yuvashri award: M.S. Sajjan, D. Abhay Datta and Preetu Manjunath; Sadhanashri award: Mahima, S. Jilian and P. Neetu Ninad.
Sahitya Ratna award: M.S. Venkataramaiah; Gaana Saraswathi award: Vidushi Dr. Suma Harinath; Rangachatura award: D. Ashwath Kadamba; Sahitya Sindhu award: Dr. S. Puttappa Mudigunda and K. Mahadeva Nayaka.
Parisara Premi award: P.T. Lakshminarayan; Samaja Sevaratna award: N.Sathyasheela and T. Ravigowda; Kreeda Ratna award: Pailwan Diwani.
The awards will be conferred at a programme to take place at Veene Seshanna Bhavan on Adichunchanagiri road in Kuvempunagar at 10 am on Mar.15. The programme will also feature the release of ‘Vachana Samruddhi’, a collection of modern vachanas by M.B. Santosh and ‘Santosh Parva’, a Biography written by C. Vani Raghavendra and a poets meet (Kavi Ghoshti).
