Mysuru: District President of Kendra Kannada Sahitya Vedike Dr. B. Basavaraju has been selected for ‘Belaku Kayaka Ratna Award’ and Vice-President of Vishwa Kannada Sahitya and Samskritika Trust A. Ramesh Shetty, an employee of BEML, has been selected for ‘Kuvempu Award.’
The two State-level awards, instituted by Belaku Shaikshanika, Sahityika and Samskritika Trust, will be conferred on the above recipients during Pancha Jilla Belaku Sahitya Sammelana, which will be held at Farmers’ Auditorium in Mandya on Dec. 29. Writer Dr. Sukanya Sunagahalli will preside over the event, according to a release.
