Bengaluru: Noted playback singer Dr. B.K. Sumitra and renowned vocalist Prof. T.N. Padma have been selected for K. Mohandev Alva and Dr. M.K. Shailaja Alva endowment awards given by Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP) for the year 2021.
Noted writer Dr. Akka Gangambika Patil has been selected for T. Girija Literary Endowment Award. They were selected at the selection committee meeting held here recently under the Chairmanship of KSP President Dr. Manu Baligar.
The first two awards carry a cash prize of Rs.30,000 each and another award carries a cash prize of Rs.15,000. The selection committee consisted of K. Mohandev Alva, KSP Honorary Secretary Padmaraja Dandavate and K. R. Mallikarjunappa.
