Mysuru: City’s basketball player Shravani Shivanna has been selected for Karnataka Senior Women’s Basketball team which will be taking part in the 75th Senior National Championship to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai from Jan.4 to 11.

A Class XI student of Excel Public School, Shravani is the daughter of Vanishree, a teacher at Excel Public School and Shivanna, a basketball coach. The family resides in Kuvempunagar.

Shravani had recently represented India U-16 Women’s team that clinched the championship title at FIBA (Fédération Internationale de Basketball Amateur) U-16 Women’s Asia Cup 2025 (Division B) held in Malaysia. She represents the All Star Academy, which practices at Dr. Puttaraja Gawai Stadium in JP Nagar, Mysuru.
