Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Poornima Umesh, Assistant Professor at St. Philomena’s College, Mysuru, has been selected for the National Kavi Vibhushana Award presented by Sirigannada Vedike, Belagavi.

Dr. Poornima had participated in the online Kavi Vibhushana contest organised by the Vedike and had presented a poem written by her titled ‘Swatantratheya Moulya.’ Dr. Poornima has authored several books and has bagged over ten national awards. She has also published over 30 research papers in national and international journals and has engaged herself in several social works with various foundations and organisations.
