Mysore/Mysuru: T. Satish Javaregowda, Teacher at Government Higher Primary School, Mellahalli, Mysuru, has been selected for the ‘Shikshana Chetana’ award given by Hasiru Bhoomi Trust, Mysuru, for innovative teachers.
Apart from making children learn better, Satish also works for the overall development of the school by creatively and innovatively involving in both curricular and co-curricular activities. Satish is working to strengthen the education system in rural areas for the past 18 years.
Along with academics, he has also served in the field of literature. He has brought out poetry collection ‘Kuhoo Kuhoo Kogile’ and ‘Galipata’ for children. He is currently pursuing research on ‘Kannadadalli Makkala Kavya’ at University of Mysore (UoM).
‘Shikshana Chetana’ award will be presented to Satish during the Teacher’s Day celebration programme to be held on Sept. 27, according to a press release [Mob:97399-18291].
