Theatrist H.S. Suresh Babu has been selected for the ‘Rotary Kadamba Ranga’ Award for the year 2017-18, said Kadamba Ranga Vedike President Rajashekara Kadamba.

Addressing press persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here recently, he said that the award will be presented to him during a programme to be held at Rotary Centre on JLB Road on Mar. 31 at 6.30 pm.

Suresh Babu, born in Hemmige village, Mandya, is the son of Siddappa and H.C. Padmavathi. He started the amateur theatre group ‘Abhiyanthararu’ in 1993, which has been promoting theatre and related activities. The institution organises theatre workshops for engineers and engineering students every year as part of its promotional activities.
