Separate assault cases: Complaints registered against six persons

In two separate assault cases, complaints have been registered against six persons in Ashokapuram and Jayalakshmipuram Police Stations in this regard.

Ashokapuram Police Station: Complaint has been registered against three persons for assaulting a woman over a petty issue, which took place in Ashokapuram on Mar. 24.

The assaulted woman has been identified as the wife of one Mahadev, a resident of Ashokapuram 13th cross. Those who assaulted the woman have been identified as Ravi, his wife Manjula and Indra, residents of the same lane.

It is reported that on Mar. 24 morning, Ravi, his wife Manjula and Indra, who barged into the house of Manjula, picked up a quarrel with her, abused her using foul language and assaulted her. Mahadev, who tried to save his wife, was also assaulted by the trio who later fled from the scene.

A complaint was lodged later.

Jayalakshmipuram Police Station: Based on the order from a Court, a complaint has been lodged against three persons for assaulting a person in RIE College premises here.

The assaulted person has been identified as Shivanna, a member of RIE Housing Society and those who assaulted Shivanna have been identified as Ravichandra, Kashyap and Ashok members of the society.

It is reported that on Jan. 9, 2017, Shivanna was talking with Shashikumar, another member of the society when the three accused all of a sudden assaulted Shivanna, following which Shivanna moved the Court and lodged a complaint.
