Seven-year-old boy electrocuted

Mysore/Mysuru: A seven-year-old boy was electrocuted in his house at Devagalli village in the taluk on Saturday evening.

The deceased boy is Bhuvith, son of Sundaresh of the village.

On Saturday evening, Bhuvith switched on the fan switch during which he came in contact with the exposed wire and was electrocuted.

Jayapura Police, who have registered a case, have urged the public to be careful with electric equipment as they may be dangerous if the equipment are not maintained properly.

Police have urged the people, especially households with children, to see if the electric switches were working properly, to see if electric wires are not exposed or damaged, see if electric gadgets have any problems and get them repaired immediately and also see that children do not go near water pumps installed to sumps.
