Bengaluru: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has given a clean chit to former Excise Minister H.Y. Meti in the sex scandal that cost him his position.
According to sources, the investigating agency, which began probing the incident in December 2016, has submitted its report to the Home Department stating that no complaint had been filed against Meti in any of the Police Stations by anyone, including the woman victim.
Sources added that the Kuruba leader was already lobbying with the CM to get back his Ministerial berth.
It may be recalled that Meti had quit after a sex CD allegedly featuring him and a government employee Vijayalaxmi was telecast by the electronic media.
