Sexual harassment case: Police launch search for Vidyahamsa Swamiji

Mysuru:  The Mysuru City Police have launched a hunt to nab Sri Vidyahamsa Bharati Swamiji, who has gone absconding after a woman accused him of sexually harassing her.

A special Police investigation team has been formed to nab the absconding Swamiji, the victim’s husband, who is accused of forcing her to go to the Seer and others involved. The Cops are trying to trace them through Call Details Record (CDR).

Sources said that as the accused have switched off their mobile phones and not using the SIM cards, there are no clues about them.

It may be recalled that Sri Vidyahamsa Bharathi Swamiji of Thridhama Kshetra at Pandavapura was in city for Chaturmasya Vratha during which he had harassed the woman sexually. Later, the woman had lodged a complaint at Kuvempunagar Police Station on Sept.7.
