Rakesh Chakravarthi, representing Karnataka in the SGFI’s U-18 National Wrestling Championships at Delhi, won the silver medal in the U-18 boys, 97 kg weight category. He is the son of Shankar Chakravarthi (CAR Police HQ, Mysuru) and J. Latha. He is a 2nd PUC student of Marimallappa’s College, Mysuru. Rakesh trains under the guidance of L. Manjappa, retired SAI and University of Mysore’s wrestling coach and practices at the Yuvaraja’s College indoor hall.
