Mysuru: As part of the 26th fasting day, Masjid Azam Markaz Ahale Sunnath Jamath, Ashoka Road, Lashkar Mohalla, Mysuru celebrated Shab-e-Khadar at Masjid-e-Azam on Ashoka Road here on June 1 by offering Namaz-e-Tarave. Moulana Mohd. Mufti Shamshul Huda Chisty, Khateeb and Qazi, Idhare Shariya, offered Namaz-e-Tarave prayers and read verses from the Holy Quran.
After prayers, Masjid Management Committee Secretary S.M. Syed Shafeeq Ahmed gave the annual report consisting of income, expenditure, donations, etc. Committee President Ahmed Khan Amerie, ex-President Syed Gaffar, Members of Management Committee felicitated Moulana Mufti Mohd. Shamshuddin Chisty of Masjid-e-Khateeb, Imam Hazarath Moulana Abdulla Nayeemi Saheb, Mouzan Hafiz Imrul Qaiz Raza and others. More than 5,000 people attended the prayers. Sehari programme was held at 3 am the next day.
S.M. Syed Shafeeq proposed a vote of thanks. MLA Tanveer Sait, former Corporators Naseeruddin Babu and Suhail Baig, Ahmed Khan Amerie, Syed Gaffar, S.M. Syed Shafeeq, Shoukath Peeran, Abdul Wahid Khan, Khizer Ahmed, Mohd. Abdulla Shariff, Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Dr. Rafi Ahmed Ashrafi, Mustaq Ahmed, Ilyas Baig, Saheb Bi and Social Worker Mirza Jamsheed Baig Ashrafi and others were present.
