Nanjangud: Shankar Dixit (52), Chief Priest and Paaru Pattedara of Sri Srikanteshwaraswamy Temple, passed away following a heart attack here this morning. He is survived by his mother, brothers and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at the burial grounds near Hadinaaru Kaalu Mantapa on the banks of Kapila River this afternoon, according to family sources.
