Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha has organised a grand vocal concert by Vid. S.R. Vinay Sharva from Bengaluru, at its premises on JLB Road in city tomorrow (Feb. 21) at 6 pm.
He will be accompanied by Vaibhav Ramani on violin, Vid. B.S. Prashanth on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Kaushik on ghata.
The programme is an endowment by Bellur Foundation in memory of B.M. Subbanna.
Vinay, an M.Tech graduate, is an A graded All India Radio vocal artiste. His music is traditional and filled with Manodharma coupled with rhythmic perfection.
At the age of 5, he was initiated into music by his mother N. Jayashree. His interest in music began to take form, with guidance under Sangeetha Vidyanidhi Vid. Bangalore S. Shankar. To enhance his music knowledge further, he learnt the nuances of vocal from Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. Nedunuri Krishnamurthy.
Vinay has performed in various concerts at prestigious music organisations and music festivals.
His knowledge in music has been demonstrated through multiple scholarly lecture-demonstrations that he has rendered. His control on the rhythm was aptly demonstrated through Salankrita Simhanandana, a concert in the rhythmic cycle of 108 letters.
While he has cultivated his talent in music, he has also excelled in academics by completing Master’s degree in Electronics. Currently he is an entrepreneur in electronic field.
