Shivappa Nayaka (56), Chief Officer of Kushalnagar Town Municipal Council and a resident of Hunsur, passed away yesterday in the town.
He leaves behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at his native place Hosa Ramanahalli village in the taluk, according to family sources.
