Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Shivateja,’ a felicitation volume on Dr. S. Shivarajappa, was released at Sri Rajendra Bhavana, JSS Hospital premises, recently.
The programme was organised by District Kannada Sahitya Parishat in association with Dr. S. Shivarajappa Fans Association. The felicitation volume has been brought out on the occasion of 60th birthday of Oriental Research Institute (ORI) Director Dr. S. Shivarajappa, edited by poet Dr. Jayappa Honnali with littérateur Dr. C.P. Krishna Kumar (CPK) as its Chief Editor.
Speaking after releasing the book, Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji said, “Dr. S. Shivarajappa is a simple and humble human being. He loves everyone and has no hesitation to mingle with people of all walks of life. This 392-page felicitation volume has 30 valuable articles.”
Later, Dr. CPK and Professor and senior scholar Dr. N.S. Taranath addressed the gathering. Dr. Taranath mentioned that already two felicitation volumes titled ‘Shivapatha’ and ‘Shivamaya’ have been brought out on the ORI Director.
