Mysore/Mysuru: With the BJP’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra, a nationwide rally involving the 39 newly inducted Union Ministers, beginning across the country today, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje is scheduled to arrive in city tonight to take part in the Yatra here tomorrow.
The Yatra is aimed at reaching out to the public BJP’s programmes, policies, projects and plans, to send a message that the BJP-led Government has given a good representation to weaker sections and various communities and to seek the blessings of the people across the country.
Shobha, who addressed the Yatra in Mandya this noon, proceeded to Chamarajanagar, where she will take part in a similar programme later this afternoon.
On her way back, Shobha is scheduled to meet party workers at Nanjangud, before visiting Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road, where she will seek the blessings of Sri Ganapathy Swamiji and thereafter stay for the night at Mysuru.
Tomorrow (Aug. 17), Shobha Karandlaje is scheduled to visit Chamundi Hill at 7.30 am and have darshan of Goddess Chamundeshwari at the Hill temple. At 8.30 am, she will visit Suttur Mutt in the city and seek the blessings of Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and have breakfast at the Mutt.
Thereafter, the Union Minister will garland the statue of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar at K.R. Circle at 10 am, marking the birth anniversary of the erstwhile Mysore ruler, following which she will hold a press conference.
Later she will take part in the Jan Ashirwad Yatra at Hotel Rio Meridian in Bamboo Bazar where she will address about 100 party workers from the city and district at 11 am.
After the programme, Shobha will leave Mysuru for Hassan by road at 12.30 pm and on the way, she is scheduled to meet party workers at K.R. Nagar and Holenarasipur, according to BJP City President T.S. Srivatsa.
