Sir,
Apropos the article “Kodagu flood victims fuss over shoddy rehab house works” (SOM dated May 21), the flood victims are already devastated by the loss of house, property and means of livelihood. Many have been rendered homeless.
To add insult to injury, the houses that have been built for them are as good/bad as other public works that are executed by “authorised” Contractors.
Is there any end to corruption in our country, where even calamities are seen as opportunities by the powers that be?
