Shop, house burgled in city

Mysuru:  In separate incidents, a shop and a house has been burgled in city.

In the first incident, miscreants have made away with electric wires, water pumps and other materials from Ganesh Electricals and Hardware on T. Narasipur Road at Alanahalli on Tuesday night.  

The shop is owned by Govind, a resident of J.P. Nagar, which was being looked after by his brothers Ponaram and Lakshman.

After closing the shop for the day on Tuesday night, Ponaram and Lakshman went home and when they came the next day morning to open the shop, they found the rolling shutter of the shop forcibly opened and on inspecting the shop, they found materials worth  about Rs. 1.5 lakh stolen, according to the complaint by Govind. A case has been registered at Alanahalli Police Station in this regard.

House Burgled: Burglars, who gained entry into a house at Vidyashankar Layout in Udayagiri by breaking open the door, have decamped with gold ornaments and cash from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of one Neelamma. On Apr. 13, Neelamma had locked the house and had given the keys to the maid. The maid, who went to the house on                                               Tuesday, found the door of the house broken and immediately informed Neelamma.

Neelamma, who rushed to the house, found a gold chain   weighing about 10 grams, earrings weighing about 3 grams and cash kept in the almirah at the house stolen, according to the complaint.

Udayagiri Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
