Mysuru: Miscreants, who broke into a shop selling agriculture equipment at Yelwal, have made away with items worth Rs. 1.5 lakh from the shop. The burglary is said to have taken place between Feb. 13 night and Feb. 14.
The burglary took place at Raitha Snehi Enterprises on Karakanahalli-Chikkanahalli Road belonging to one H. Nagesh, a resident of Varaha Layout in Yelwal and the burglars have made away with UPS battery, five rolls of barbed fencing wire, 13 de-weeding machines, five machines which were under repair, water pumps and petrol sprayers.
On Feb. 13 evening, Nagesh closed the shop for the day and left for his home. As there was a house-warming ceremony of his relative on Feb. 14, he had closed the shop.
On Feb. 15, he received a call from the neighbouring tea stall and the caller informed him that his shop’s door was open. Nagesh then rushed to the shop and on entering the shop and inspecting the items, he found many things stolen and lodged a complaint at Yelwal Police Station. The Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
