Maanya from Mysuru gets 1st prize in Junior division

Surabhi Ganakala Mandira Charitable Trust had organised a State-level Classical Music contest on Mar.26 at Chaitanya Bhavan in Gokulam. It was a good contest both qualitatively and quantitatively as there were very strong 12 contestants each in Junior and Senior divisions. The note-worthy point here is that the contestants had come from far off places like Udupi, Dharmasthala, Sulya, Puttur, Shivamogga, Hassan and Bengaluru.

Shreya Kolatthaya of Puttur  bagged the ‘Naada Surabhi’ title and a cash prize of Rs.5,000 while R. Sindhu from Bengaluru and Medha of Mysuru got the 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively. Pavan Kodimoole (Puttur) and Aditya (Matthur) were given consolatoin prizes.

Maanya from Mysuru was awarded the 1st prize in the Junior division. The other prize winners were Hiranmayi (2nd), Prerana (3rd), Mahathi and Ananya Vasuki (consolatoin).
