Shylaja Ramakrishna (76), Founder-President of RGHS Foundation, Shylaja Ramakrishna Charitable Trust and a resident of Gokulam, passed away yesterday in city.
After her husband and children passed away, Shylaja, along with her friends, formed the Foundation and worked for the welfare of tribals and development of Government Schools at tribal hamlets in Nagarahole to provide education to tribal children. She was well-known as ‘Amma’ among tribal children.
Last rites were held at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam here this morning.
