Siddeshwara Swamiji continues to be critical

January 2, 2023

Vijayapura: Days after his health deteriorated, the condition of Vijayapura Jnana Yogashrama Seer Sri  Siddeshwara Swamiji remains to be critical.

The Octogenarian Seer, who continues to be treated at his Vijayapura Ashram, was visited by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, a host of his Cabinet Ministers, Legislators, dignitaries and scores of people over the past few days.

On Sunday, Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and other Seers belonging to various Mutts, called on Siddeshwara Swamiji.

Even Prime Minister Modi too called the Seer over phone on Sunday. The telephonic conversation was facilitated by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, it is learnt.

A team of doctors from Vijayapura’s BLDE Hospital is treating the Seer. Sources said that the health of the Seer is witnessing fluctuations and doctors are keeping a constant watch on his health. The Swamiji is currently taking only liquid food and doctors are hoping that his condition may see improvement, the sources further said.

With scores of people thronging the Ashram to have a darshan of the Seer, the authorities have erected a LED screen in the Ashram premises, which relayed live visuals of the resting Seer.

It may be mentioned here that Siddeshwara Swamiji was a regular visitor to Suttut Mutt in Mysuru, where he used to deliver valuable discourses on a number of occasions, which had become popular among the masses.
