Nanjangud: Opposition Leader and former Chief Minister Siddharamaiah will unveil the statue of freedom fighter Sangolli Rayanna at Hosaveedu village in Nanjangud taluk tomorrow (Nov.9).
Disclosing this while addressing Congress Party workers at the Party Office on R.P. Road here yesterday, former MLA Kalale Keshavamurthy said that Siddharamaiah will unveil the statue at Hosaveedu village at 3 pm tomorrow. Calling upon the Party workers to accord a grand welcome to the former CM, who is arriving at Nanjangud town at 2 pm tomorrow, he said that Siddharamaiah will be taken in a bike rally from Nanjangud to Hosaveedu passing through Kalale, Sindhuvallipura, Yelachagerebore and Devarayashettypura. Appealing Congress workers to arrive in large numbers for welcoming the former CM, Keshavamurthy stressed on the need for making the programme a huge success. Block Congress President C.M. Shankar, party leaders S.C. Basavaraju, K.G. Mahesh, Srikantanayaka, Muddumadashetty, Akbar Aleem and others were present.
