Former Chief Minister and present BJP State President B.S. Yeddyurappa being felicitated with a Silver Mace by former MUDA Chairman K.R. Mohan Kumar, BJP Leader N.M. Naveen Kumar, Pailwan Krishna and Sunil on his arrival to city this morning as others look on.

Mysuru: Accusing Chief Minister Siddharamaiah of diving the society on caste and community lines, State BJP President and former CM B.S. Yeddyurappa has said that the Chief Minister would be taught a bitter lesson in the forthcoming Assembly polls.

Speaking to press persons after visiting Hosamutt in Agrahara here this morning, Yeddyurappa said that he had visited the Seer to seek his blessings.

Launching a scathing attack on CM Siddharamaiah, State BJP Chief Yeddyurappa accused the Chief Minister of cheating his political gurus such as former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and kicking down the ladder which he had used to grow up politically.

Declaring that the BJP would field a strong candidate in Chamundeshwari segment to take on CM Siddharamaiah, the State BJP Chief said that his State-wide ‘Parivartana Yatra’ had received tremendous response from the people.

Yeddyurappa further said that during his yatra, he found that Veerashaiva-Lingayats stayed united.

BJP leaders Kautilya Raghu, H.V. Rajeev, K.P. Siddalingaswamy, L. Nagendra, K.R. Mohan Kumar, N.M. Naveen Kumar,  Thontadarya, G. Madhusudhan and others were present.

Earlier, Yeddyurappa sought the blessings of Hosamutt Seer Chidananda Swamiji and the two had a closed-door meeting for over 15 minutes.

Kuderu Mutt Seer Gurushantha Swamiji was also present.

The meeting assumes significance in the wake of Chidananda Swamiji openly taking up the cause of a separate Lingayat religion tag by setting up a front for the same.

Earlier, a silver mace was presented to B.S. Yeddyurappa by former MUDA Chairman K.R. Mohan Kumar and BJP leader N.M. Naveen Kumar when Yeddyurappa arrived in city this morning.
