A surprise awaited Siddharamaiah, who celebrated his 75th birthday in August this year as the Kurubara Sangha had brought a huge cake weighing 75 kg wishing the tall Kuruba community leader thus: ‘Mundina Mukhyamantri Sanmanya Siddharamaiah ravara 75ne varshada Huttu Habbada Hardika Shubhashayagalu’ (wishing happy 75th birthday to the next Chief Minister Siddharamaiah).

Siddu also cut the cake in the presence of Sri Niranjanananda Puri Swamiji, Sri Shivanandapuri Swamiji, MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddaharamaiah, Corporator Gopi and Sangha leaders. Prof. Aravinda Malagatti was the main speaker on the occasion. The stage programme was on when we went to the Press.
