Siddu’s native village celebrates

Mysore/Mysuru: Soon as the Congress High Command officially announced on Thursday that Siddharamaiah would be the Karnataka Chief Minister and that KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar his Deputy, Siddaramanahundi in the taluk, the native village of the CM-designate, erupted in joy as the son of their village will be occupying the coveted post.

Soon as the official announcement was made, the entire village wore a festive look and villagers celebrated by dancing and also took out a procession holding flags featuring a picture of Siddharamaiah on the village roads.  Also, special pujas were conducted at Siddarameshwara temple in the village.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that hundreds of villagers of Siddaramanahundi have already left or leaving for Bengaluru tomorrow to be present for the oath-taking ceremony of Siddharamaiah.
