‘Silk India-2020’ exhibition-cum-sale, organised by OA&C at Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry on Vinoba Road in city from Feb.21, will conclude tomorrow (Mar.1). The expo is open to public from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm. The exhibition brings together rural artisans from the eastern part of India featuring vast collections of cotton and silk handlooms, Odisha tie-and-dye, dress material and sarees, West Bengal cotton sarees and many more. The expo aims at promoting the art of the weavers and craftsmen by making the customers purchase directly from the craftsmen at the lowest price. ‘Silk India’ is all about the use of traditional handloom skills to create contemporary lifestyle products.
