Silk India-2026 expo-cum-sale begins

Mysuru: Silk India-2026, an exhibition-cum-sale of India’s finest handloom and silk collections, was inaugurated by Risha Gowda, film actress from Mysuru, at Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry in city yesterday.

The exhibition showcases a wide range of products including Silk Sarees, Suits, Dress Materials, Stoles, Dupattas, Kurtas, Kurties, Tussar Silk, Pure Silk, Shantipur Silk and other traditional textiles.

Visitors can explore exclusive collections from several States, including: Sambalpuri Ikat Silks from Odisha; Organic Tassar Silks from Bihar; Muga and Eri Silks from Assam; Crepe, Georgette and Arani Silks from Karnataka; Kanjeevaram and Designer Sarees from Tamil Nadu; Dharmavaram, Uppada, Gadwal, Mangalagiri and Pochampally Sarees from Andhra Pradesh; Banarasi, Jamdani and Chiffon Silks from Uttar Pradesh; Designer Dress Materials from Maharashtra; Kosa and Raw Silk Collections from Chhattisgarh; Maheshwari and Chanderi Silks from Madhya Pradesh; Baluchari, Dhakai and Kantha Sarees from West Bengal; Pashmina Shawls and Silk Sarees from Jammu & Kashmir; Kota Silk and Hand Block Prints from Rajasthan; Phulkari Dress Materials from Punjab.

Silk India-2026 expo-cum-sale will remain open from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm daily till July 15. Entry and parking are free for visitors.
