Sr. Maria (87), younger sister of late Fr. Dennis Noronha, passed away yesterday at Villa St. Joseph, Jettihundi, in city.
A teacher by profession, Sr. Maria had served at Christ the King Convent in Mysuru,
St. Anne’s Convent at Siddapura and Lourdes Hill Convent at Polibbetta in Kodagu,
St. Joseph’s and Carmel Convent in Mandya, Holy Rosary Convent at Honavar, Mount Carmel Convent in Bengaluru and at
Little Flower Convent in T. Narasipur. She was a recipient of the ‘Best Teacher’ award by the State Government. Funeral service was held at Villa St. Joseph at Jettihundi today afternoon.
