SIT issues notice to Mohammed Nalapad in bitcoin case

Bengaluru: For the second time in less than a year, sleuths from CID’s Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the bitcoin case allegedly involving hacker Srikrishna alias Sriki, has issued a notice to Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee President Mohammed Haris Nalapad, who is the son of Shantinagar MLA N.A. Haris, in the bitcoin case. He has been directed to appear before the SIT officials tomorrow (Feb. 7).

The case pertains to the hacking of bitcoin accounts and ransomware attacks on websites. In June 2024, Nalapad had appeared before the SIT and had given statements for four hours.
