Sitamma (88), wife of late freedom fighter Ananta Narayana Iyengar and mother of musician and ‘SOM’ music critic Dr. Padmavathi Narasimhan, passed away last night at her son’s residence in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage here following a cardiac arrest.
She leaves behind her son Ramapriya, daughter-in-law Geeta Ramapriya, daughters Jayanti and Padmavathi and a host of relatives. Last rites were held this morning at the foot of Chamundi Hill, according to family sources.
