Mysuru: On the occasion of Varamahalakshmi festival, Hastashilpi has organised a six-day Silk India- 2019 expo from July 17 to 22 at Hotel Southern Star in city.
“Various Silk saree weavers, handloom clusters and Silk Co-operative Societies will be showcasing their products at the expo.
The aim of the organisation is to make the products directly available to the customers without the moderator to the weavers and artisans,’’said, organiser T. Abhinand of Hastashilpi.
“Arini Silk sarees, Crepe and Georgette Silk sarees, Chiffon Silk sarees, Tassar Silk sarees and suit, Kanjeevaram Silk sarees and Wedding sarees, Designer fancy sarees, Darmavaram Silk sarees, Raw Silk and Tassar, Jute Silk sarees, Dhaka Silk sarees, Handloom Silk Cotton sarees, Silk Blends sarees and Stole, Silk shawls, Uppada, Gadwal, Paithani sarees, Mangalagiri and Pochampalli Silk sarees, Hand Block Print sarees, Suit & Silk Bed Covers, Designer dress materials and Border, Lazes, Kurtis, Hand Woven Matka and Assam Muga Fabrics, Apoorva Silk sarees, Baluchari, Dhaka Masli, Gicha sarees, Boutique sarees, Kantha sarees, Zordoshi, Lucknow Chikan Work sarees, Bhagalpur suits, Printed Silk sarees, Banarasi sarees, Reshmi plain and Butti sarees, Maheswari, Chanderi Silk sarees & Suit and Kota Silk, Mulberry Silk with temple border, Banaras Jamdani, Hand-woven sarees and more products from across the country will be on sale and display at the expo,” he added.The expo which begins on July 17 is open to the public from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm till July 22.
