Six-day State Ranking Badminton Tourney begins

Mysuru: The six-day State Ranking Badminton Tournament organised by Mysore District Badminton Association (MDBA) under the aegis of Karnataka State Badminton Association (KSBA) began at Manasagangothri Indoor Stadium this morning.

The tournament, in which a total of 663 players are taking part from various parts of the State, was inaugurated by Mysuru-Kodagu MP  Pratap Simha. MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar, DC D. Randeep, University of Mysore Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dayananda Mane, KSBA Hon. Vice President S.G. Prabhu and others were present.

The tournament will be conducted in U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 categories. The Association will be giving away total prize money of around Rs. 2 lakh for the winners in all categories.
