Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre, University of Mysore will be conducting a six-day workshop on Research Methodology in Social Sciences: Current Trends and Way Forward from Apr.1 to 6 at its premises in Manasagangothri.
The workshop will be inau-gurated by Varsity Registrar V.R. Shylaja at 10.30 am on Apr. 1. Prof. G.K. Karanth, Formerly Professor of Sociology, Centre for Study of Social Change and Development, ISEC, Bengaluru will deliver the keynote address. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre Director Prof. J. Somashekar will preside.
Scholars and eminent personalities from various parts of State and country will deliver talks on different topics. The final day of the workshop on Apr. 6 will witness a panel discussion on Social Science Research -The Way Forward between 2 pm and 5 pm. Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Bengaluru, Vice-Chairman Prof. S.R. Niranjan will chair the session.
Kuvempu University former Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Jogan Shankar, Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University VC Prof. B.K. Tulasimala, Raichur University VC Prof. Harish Ramaswamy and Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, VC Prof. C.M. Thyagaraja will participate.
