‘Skill on Wheels’ inaugurated

Mysuru: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers H.N. Anant Kumar launched ‘Skill on Wheels’, an initiative by National Skill Development Corporation at a programme organised at JSS Arts, Science and Commerce College on Ooty Road this morning.

Speaking on the occasion, Anant Kumar pointed out that the ‘Skill on Wheels’ initiative is aimed at enhancing the employability of youths, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with an objective of making the youths, especially from rural areas, more employable, has planned this programme.

He underlined the importance of training youth on entrepreneurship.

Maintaining that the initiative was a grand success, he stressed on the need for publicising this programme, focussing more on rural areas.

He also called upon participants to utilise the latest innovations in Science and Technology for building better skills among youths. More than 500 entrepreneurs from across the country took part in the event.

Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Anant Kumar Hegde, MP Pratap Simha, Former DGP Shankar Bidari, Trainers Venkatesh and D. Srihari and others were present. Suttur Seer Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji graced the occasion.
