Social Welfare Department holds entrance exam to train aspirants

Mysore/Mysuru: The Social Welfare Department had organised entrance exams for SC/ST and Backward Classes job aspirants to provide coaching for various competitive examinations yesterday.

The examinations were held at Maharaja Government PU College on JLB Road, SBRR Mahajana PU College at Jayalakshmipuram, Government Girls PU College at People’s Park, Sri Vivekananda PU College at Jayalakshmipuram, Government PU College on Aniketana Road in Kuvempunagar and Government PU College at Mathrumandali Circle in city.

A total of 2,316 candidates had enrolled for the examination held in two sessions of 150 minutes each. With this initiative of the Social Welfare Department, rural and poor students of SC/ST and Backward Classes can avail the coaching free of cost.

City Police had made arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination by clamping Sec. 144 around 200 metres of examination centres.
