Mysuru: The packed audience at Platinum Jubilee Hall in J.K. Grounds here last evening was treated with captivating songs from Dr. Vishnuvardhan movies at the musical nite ‘Nanna Haadu Nannadu’ organised by Ninaad Musical Trust.
The programme commenced with Neethu Ninaad rendering a devotional song.
A.S. Prasanna Kumar rendered the popular number from the movie ‘Suprabhata’, ‘Nanna Haadu Nannadu’ followed by ‘Olume siriya kande’ by Kashinath, ‘Ananda Anandave’ by Dr. Raghuveer and Apoorva. The foot-tapping song ‘Sutta Mutta Yaruilla’ by Dr. Subhash and Sharadamba received a thunderous applause from the audience.
Singers Dr. Brahmendra, Manjunath, Nagavalli, Kashinath, Aarati Muddaiah, Bhuvaneshwari, Mahesh Kumar, Divya Keshavan, Manmohan, Dr. Anand, Ashwini Rao, Alphonsa, Lokesh, Amulya, Gopalkrishna and Nagendra too rendered popular songs of Vishnu movies.
Inaugurating the programme, former Chairman of Mysore Paints and Varnish H.A. Venkatesh opined that actors like Dr. Rajkumar, Dr. Vishnuvardhan and Ambarish were immortal through their movies.
Mysuru Central Jail Chief Superintendent P.V. Ananda Reddy said that music was the best means to refresh the mind.
Aarati Muddaiah and Prasad School of Drums Teacher Dr. Raghavendraprasad were felicitated on the occasion.
