Mysuru: The South Indian Academy of Hindi Literature had organised “Kavya Vaacha Aur Paricharcha” in association with Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, here recently. Vipul Kumar, Director, Karnataka Police Academy, was the guest of honour.
The first session was poetry recitation by Dr. Pratibha Mudaliar, Dr. B. Nirmala, Dr. Ramnivas Sahu, Rajkumar Tomar, Dr. Rekha Agarwal, Dr. Purnima, Dr. Vasanti and Arun Kumar Chandra Danshi on patriotism, morality, love, life struggle, old age, loneliness, social responsibility.
The second session was a discussion on recited poems. In this interaction, Dr. Satish Pandey, Kumarasambhav, Harishankar, Chandrakumar and Dr. Parman Singh took part.
Vipul Kumar, in his address, mentioned the importance of writing in one’s own language as written forms are the expression of heartfelt feelings of individuals that helps in bringing about transformation in society and this Academy is a perfect platform to motivate people to write and develop an aesthetic sense and love for literature.
He recited a poem titled, “Manav Garima” written by his father Gopal Sharan Singh. The poem in a subtle and beautiful manner expresses the dichotomy of divine status given to women in Indian culture and their unceasing exploitation.
Founder-Director Dr. Sarvesh Kumar Maurya spoke about the aims and objectives of the Academy that would help budding writers and research scholars on non-profit basis. The event was attended by College professors, scholars and connoisseurs of Hindi literature, according to a press release from Dr. Mamatha Sathyanarayana, Convener.
