South Zone Inter-University Cricket: Jain University wins title

Jain University, Bangalore, helped by some good bowling performance by medium-pacer Aditya Somanna (four for 21), scored a 39-run win over University of Mysore in the final and clinched the title in the South Zone Inter-University Men’s Cricket tournament 2018-19 played at JNNCE Grounds in Shivamogga on Wednesday. Both the teams qualified for the All-India Inter-University Championships.

Third Place: JNTU, Hyderabad 201 in 41.3 overs (N. Anirudh Reddy 103, Chandan Sahani 20, D. Rahul four for 48, Samrudh Bhat two for 41,

Harish 2 for 31) lost to Hindustani IT & S, Chennai,  205 for 3 in 38.2 overs (K. Vishal Vaidhya 89, S. Siddarth 51, R. Kavin 25).
