South Zone Inter-University Men’s Cricket: University of Mysore enters semi-finals

Shivamogga: Inspiring batting performances by Kishan S. Bedare (52, 47b, 4×4), B. Dheemanth (38), Nandan Narayan (47, 34b, 4×4), S.J. Nikin Jose (26) and Vishnu Priyan (24), helped University of Mysore to register a facile four-wicket win over MG University, Kottayam, and enter the semi-final in the South Zone Inter-University Men’s Cricket Tournament (2018-19) played at Shivamogga here recently.

Batting first, MG University, Kottayam were well-served by Sanju Sanjeev (60) and Amal P. Rajeevan (53).

MG University scored 220 for nine in 45 overs. M. Uttham Aiyappa (three for 27) and skipper Madan Mohan (three for 42) were the main wicket-takers for University of Mysore.

In reply, good batting by Kishan Bedare (52, 47b, 4×4), B. Dheemanth (59b, 3×4), Nandan Narayan (47, 34b, 4x4s), S.J. Nikin Jose (26) and Vishnu Priyan (24), helped them to register a four-wicket win. Fabin Albert took two for 43 for MG University, Kottayam.
