University of Kerala, helped by some inspiring play by Syed (played 4min.20s and scored 2 points) and Akshay (played 3min.30s and scored 3 points), enabled their team to register a big 16-point win (21-5) over Christ University, Bengaluru, and entered the second round on the inaugural day of the four-day South Zone Inter-University Men’s Kho-Kho Championship (2017-18), conducted by the Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore (UoM), at the University Grounds here yesterday.
In other important games, Davanagere University (Madhu Thejas-played 3min.10s & scored 1 point) scored a 14-8 win over Rayalaseema University, while UAHS, Shivamogga, scored a 18-14 win over Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore and sailed into the second round.
