Ambika wins Shot-Put Gold with new meet record
Mysuru athletes fared well representing Karnataka in the South Zone Junior Athletic Championships 2019 at Udupi yesterday.
Mysuru girl V. Ambika won the gold in the Girls U-20 Shot-Put event with a new meet record of 13.63m at Udupi on Sunday morning.
B. Manush of Mysuru, representing Karnataka, won the gold in the Boys U-20 Shot-Put with a throw of 16.64m. Rahul Kashyap of Mysuru won the silver medal in the same category with a throw of 15.94m.
Sushma won the gold in the Girls U-20 Discus-throw while Likitha Yogesh won bronze in Discus-throw in the Girls U-18 section. Mohit N. Raj of Mysuru won the gold in the Boys U-18 Discus-throw event.
