Mysuru: Every year on Vaikunta Ekadashi day, a large number of devotees visit various temples across the city to have darshan of Vaikunta Dwara (Vaikunta Door) and witness special puja rituals. During this year, Vaikunta Ekadashi will be celebrated on Dec.29 (Friday).
Sri Ganapathy Ashrama
On this occasion, Uttara Dwara (North entrance) of Sri Datta Venkateshwara Temple at Sri Datta Venkateshwara Temple, Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama, Ooty Road, Datta Nagar, will be kept open for devotees to enter the temple.
To facilitate the general public, the temple timings are extended and will be kept opened from 5.30 am to 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm to 10 pm tomorrow.
Sri Veeranjaneyaswamy Temple Trust
Vaikunta Ekadashi celebrations will be held at Sri Veeranjaneyaswamy Temple premises, Hanumantha Nagar, Bannimantap Layout, tomorrow. Special Puja has been organised on the occasion of Vaikunta Dwara darshana at 6.30 am followed by prasadam distribution.
Vivekanandanagar Brahmana Sabha
As part of Vaikunta Ekadashi, Vivekanandanagar Brahmana Sabha will be performing special pujas and rituals at Sri Lakshminarasimhaswamy Temple, SBM Colony, Srirampura, from 6 am to 9.30 pm on Dec.29.
ISKCON
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Mysuru, has organised various spiritual and cultural programmes on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadashi tomorrow. At first, the devotees can have darshan of Vaikunta Dwara from 6 am to 10 pm. The temple authorities have also organised laksharchane to Lord Krishna from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and followed by cultural programme from 2 pm to 10 pm.
Cultural Programmes — 2 pm: Sri Krishna Bhajans by Sri Dhatri Mahila Kendra; 3 pm: Devotional songs by Madhurya Kala Gaana Kendra; 4 pm: Sri Krishna Bhajans by Nihal Prakash and Manjula; 5 pm: Devotional songs by Mahadeva Swamy and Balasubramanya; 6 pm: Sri Krishna Bhajans by Jaswanth and Hamsini; 7 pm: Flute recital by Neetu Ninaad and P.N. Nihal; 8 pm: Devotional songs by Ashwin Prabhu and Sumanth; 9 pm: Sri Krishna Bhajans by Atishay Jain and Neetu Ninaad and Sunitha Hiremath.
