Mysore/Mysuru: A 15-day Special Drive of Revenue Services will be conducted to provide various services of Revenue Department in a speedy manner and to dispose off the pending cases under the purview of Village Administrative Officers (VAOs) in all the taluks of the district.
This follows the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) on May 9 and the people are told to make use of the opportunity. Several specific instructions have been issued to the officers in this regard, as follows:
Tahsildars have to prepare a list of cases pending with VAOs in their limits and respective VAOs shall prepare a schedule and visit every villages from May 13 to 27 from 9.30 am to 2 pm. During their visit, VAOs have to provide services related to Aadhaar seeding, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) applications, payment of pending compensation, application for Pouthi Khata among others.
Field visits should be conducted at the same villages from 2.30 pm to 6 pm to address the queries related to pending cases like that of Land Beat Application, Bagar Hukum, Drought Relief, Rain Damage, Revenue Village and Natural Disaster among several other grievances.
The respective Revenue Inspectors (RI) should be used as a bridge between Taluk Office and VAOs for this Special Drive of Revenue Services.
Tahsildars should inspect the daily progress of VAOs and submit the progress report in a prescribed format on the same day to the DC. Tashildars should take the leadership of this Special Drive of Revenue Services and review the progress through Google Meet daily to confirm the participation of public.
Once in a week, the physical meeting should be conducted at Taluk Office in the afternoon and review the progress of the Special Drive and take steps for speedy disposal of pending applications related to differences in columns 3 & 9 in Pahani and Mojani applications (online access to land records).
The Special Drive taken up at VAO level is planned in the interest of the public to provide the services of Revenue Department in a speedy way. It is purely administrative drive and has been instructed to discharge the duty responsibly by ensuring that the Model Code of Conduct is not violated. Tahsildars should submit Nadavali (Meeting Minutes) after conducting a meeting with VAOs once in a week along with supervising the daily report and submitting them in a prescribed format. A progress review meeting on the Special Drive of Revenue Services should be conducted by Deputy Commissioner once in a week.
VAOs, who show better progress in the drive, will be suitably encouraged, while the disciplinary action will be taken against those who fail to show progress.
The information related to timely instructions will be shared in WhatsApp groups and the officers should follow the instructions to ensure the success of this Special Drive.
