Mysuru: In order to facilitate passenger travel during the forthcoming Onam Festival, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced Special Express Trains between Mysuru-Kannur-Bengaluru Cantonment for two trips in each direction.
Train No. 06227 Mysuru – Kannur Special Express will depart from Mysuru at 22:30 hrs on Aug. 25 and arrive at Kannur at 14:00 hrs on the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 06228 Kannur-Bengaluru Cantt Special Express will depart from Kannur at 18:25 hrs on Aug. 26 and arrive at Bengaluru Cantt at 08:35 hrs on the following day.
Train No. 06229 Mysuru-Kannur Special Express will depart from Mysuru at 23:55 hrs on Aug. 29 and arrive at Kannur at 17:50 hrs on the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 06230 Kannur-Bengaluru Cantt Special Express will depart from Kannur at 19:45 hrs on Aug. 30 and arrive at Bengaluru Cantt at 10:00 hrs on the following day.
En route, the special trains will halt at Mandya, KRS Bengaluru, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet Jn, Alem Jn, Erode Jn, Tiruppur, Podanur Jn, Palakkad Jn, Shoranur Jn, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery and in return direction, it will halt at Bengaluru Cantt Station.
The special trains will comprise 20 coaches, consisting of 1 AC Two Tier Coach, 2 AC Three Tier Coaches, 9 Sleeper Class Coaches, 6 General Second Class Coaches and 2 Luggage-cum-Brake Vans.
