Special schools celebrate annual day

Mysuru, Feb. 13- The annual day of ‘Chethana’ pre-school and ‘Kaushala’ pre-vocational centre was celebrated under the auspices of Swasahaya Samuchhaya (Parents Association of Mentally Retarded and Cerebral Palsied Children) at the school premises in Saraswathipuram here on Feb. 11.

Dr. A.S. Chandrashekar, Secretary, Arogya Bharathi, who was the chief guest, released the newsletter of the Institute ‘Special Child.’ Swasahaya Samuchhaya President K.V. Panduranga Shetty briefed about the activities of the organisation.

Tharun and Hemanth, who were considered as the Best Students, were presented with Vishwanath Mirle Memorial Awards. On the occasion, Bhavana Satish, one of the members of Sri Kaveripattanam Jewellers, who has given the building to run the school from 20 years, was felicitated.  

Treasurer A.S. Prabhakar briefed about the present issues faced by the Institute. Samuchhaya Secretary B.K. Ramaprasad welcomed. Vanishree proposed a vote of thanks. Joint Secretary Manjula Prabhakar compered.

The celebration concluded with cultural programmes by the special children.
